Children and parents get their eyes affected at school function in Erwadi

According to reports, the eyes of over 100 persons including children and their parents were affected after high-density lights were used for the annual day function at a school in Erwadi near Tirunelveli. Doctors suggested that the halogen bulbs used in the function of the government-aided school could have emitted a poisonous gas leading to irritation in the eyes. All those affected are receiving treatment at a hospital, say reports.
