Poonamallee High Road, the stretch between Poonamallee and Central station on EVR Periyar Salai, will reportedly get a facelift, which involves significant repair and restoration works. NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) has floated tenders for the same. This is the result of a PIL, which asked for an order to inspect the stretch and repair the National Highway (NH4) from Poonamallee Sub-Court to Central Railway Station.
