TAMIL NADU, PUDUCHERRY TO RECEIVE THUNDERSHOWERS: MET CENTRE

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai on Thursday said that parts of Tamil Nadu and neighbouring Puducherry may receive rains coupled with thunder. Chennai may witness thundershowers in the evening and night, it said.

The weather monitoring agency also cautioned the fishermen on the southern coastal areas not to venture into the sea. Similarly, fishermen in the northern coastal areas have been warned against moving into the deep sea.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has said that Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry may experience heavy rains.

It also added that states such as Goa, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal may also witness heavy rains.
