According to reports, at least 10 buffaloes died in Settur of Virudhunagar district after high-voltage electric cables snapped and fell on them. The buffaloes belonged to a man named Olivilakku, a resident of Kamaraj Nagar in Settur. Olivilakku, a milk seller by profession, was shepherding his 11 buffaloes near the cremation ground on Tuesday when the incident took place.
