According to media reports, the owner of the orphanage, from where Sherin Mathews was adopted said that the girl had no eating problem. The girl’s father reportedly confessed to witnessing the girl choking to death. He said that he and his wife were following a diet for the girl, in which she would be fed during midnight as she was malnourished and had eating problem. The girl’s dead body was found near their home.
