SCHOOL CHILDREN SUFFER NAUSEA AFTER CONSUMING MID-DAY MEAL

Children at a government-aided school in Kumaranayakanpettai near Gummidipoondi in Thiruvallur district fell sick and vomited after consuming the mid-day meal in the school. About 26 students of the primary school, who had consumed the food, were rushed to a primary health centre in Eguvarpalayam for first-aid. Later, they were transferred to the government hospital for children in Egmore. Thiruvallur district collector Sundaravalli visited the students at the hospital.
