According to reports, a woman in Salem has killed her 7-year-old son as she thought he would cause trouble to her illicit relationship with another man. The woman, the wife of Manikandan from NSK Nagar near Attayampatti in Salem, filed a complaint with police on March 5 that her son was missing. However, the woman later confessed to killing the boy by pushing him into a well to death after the police started grilling. Later, police recovered his body from the well and sent it to a government hospital.
