The long-awaited by-election in RK Nagar has finally come to an end and the constituency is all set to get it’s first MLA after the demise of J Jayalalithaa. TTV Dhinakaran, the rebel leader who was sidelined by the ruling party members has taken a huge victory with a difference of 40,707 votes. In spite of not winning the two-leaves symbol and having lost the support of most of the ruling party members, this victory is a historic one.
