Not able to conduct RK Nagar bypoll due to cases by DMK: EC to HC

The Election Commission on Monday reportedly told the Madras High Court that it was unable to issue the notification for RK Nagar bypoll due to the cases filed by the DMK in connection with the fake voters and cash distribution for votes. The bypoll can be conducted only if the two cases are settled soon, the EC reportedly said. The HC took the EC’s appeal into consideration and adjourned the hearing for Tuesday.
