Madras HC orders vigilance probe into DA case against Rajendra Balaji.

The Madurai bench of Madras High Court on Tuesday reportedly ordered an inquiry by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) into the disproportionate assets case filed against Tamil Nadu dairy minister Rajendra Balaji. Mahendran from Tallakulam filed a complaint in the HC alleging that the minister accumulated over Rs 200 crore beyond the income.

The court has reportedly ordered to probe the matter from 2008 when Balaji was the panchayat president of Thiruthangal in Virudhunagar district. The court ordered that the vigilance department should submit the initial investigation report on August 3 and adjourned the matter for hearing on August 6.
