Acupuncture doctor Shankar, who allegedly treated former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa during the 2016 Assembly elections, reportedly appeared before the Enquiry Commission, headed by justice Arumugaswami, formed to investigate Jayalalithaa’s death. After appearing before the Commission, the doctor reportedly said that increased amount of steroid drugs given to Jayalalithaa could have deteriorated her health.
