Tamil Nadu dairy minister Rajendra Balaji has reportedly said that he already knew that former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa died at 5.20 am on December 4, 2016. Speaking at an event in Virudhunagar, the minister reportedly said he received information on December 4 that Jayalalithaa was in a critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest. Stating that all MLAs were called to Chennai around 2 am, Rajendra Balaji said he confirmed it right then that Jayalalithaa had died.
