In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Assistant Commissioner of Police John Sundar spoke about the late inspector Periyapandian who was killed in Rajasthan during an operation to nab robbers in Kolathur jewellery shop robbery case. Speaking of one of the earlier cases conducted by inspector Periyapandian, he praised his expertise in cracking a case using a CCTV footage and nabbing the robbers on the same day. “He was appreciated by many for solving the case in such short period and this is only one of his many successful cases” he added.
