"TN politics beyond religion" : EPS

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami met the press on Sunday and spoke on several issues. Addressing Karnataka's refusal to release Cauvery water, EPS said, “We will try everything we can to persuade them to release the water so that farmers and their crops aren't ruined. They are saying that they are facing water deficit. We are only requesting them to release water in a phased manner – first 15 tmc of water, then 7 tmc of water and so on.”
On TTV Dhinakaran, he said, “It is you people (media) who is praising him to the moon and back. He is just an independent candidate and doesn't even have his own party.”
The CM further added that he, deputy CM O Panneerselvam and other prominent ministers will participate in a jallikattu event in Alanganallur on January 16. He also added that TN politics is beyond religion.
