DMK to observe first anniversary of demonetisation as black day

TN opposition party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has reportedly decided to observe November 8, the first anniversary of demonetisation as 'Black Day'. DMK cadre would wear black shirts and stage demonstrations in all district headquarters of Tamil Nadu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes on November 8 last year in an attempt to curb black money in the country.
