After the recovery of a 3-year-old girl’s dead body near Sheryl Mathews' home, the girl’s father reportedly confessed to witnessing the girl choking to death. Mathews reportedly said that he and his wife had a special diet for Sheril, which includes feeding her in the middle of the night as she was malnourished. Earlier he said that he punished the girl by telling her to stand under a tree 900 meters away from their home as she did not finish milk given to her.
