According to media reports, the Chennai corporation officials have collected Rs 12.5 lakh from residents in Pudupettai. The corporation had earlier sent notice to localities to clear stagnant water. As the situation remained the same even after the notice, the corporation has collected Rs 20,000 from house owners who has environments that let mosquitoes breed.
