400 followers cut off testicles, CBI officials record Ram Rahim’s statement

The CBI officials on Tuesday reportedly recorded jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s statement in connection with a case in which his 400 followers cut off their testicles. Around 400 of his estimated 50 million followers were allegedly persuaded to cut off their own testicles to “bring them closer to god”. The incident reportedly took place in 2000 at a hospital run by the Dera chief in India.
