Following Christmas and New Year holiday season, the high demand has reportedly pushed the airfare beyond Rs 10,000 mark on routes between Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai. Even for 30-day advance booking for one-way trips from Chennai to other metros during the season, the fare reportedly ranges from Rs 3,000 to Rs 15,000. Reports say, the fare would increase further along other routes too.
