R.Rukmani, a resident of Kottimangalam village in Kanchipuram district was reportedly killed on Thursday evening after the vehicle she was travelling on met with an accident and she was run over by a road roller. The victim and her husband were travelling on a motorcycle from Kottimangalam towards Chengalpet when the accident took place. The Chengalpet taluk police have registered a case and are searching for the road roller driver who is absconding.
