An IPS officer on probation was on Monday reportedly caught cheating during the UPSC mains exam in Chennai. Safeer Karim, a resident of Kerala, was using a Bluetooth device to communicate with his wife, Joicy Joy, who dictated the answers. Police took his wife into custody as well. Karim is a 2014-batch IPS officer serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Police in Nanguneri sub-division in Tirunelveli district.
