Chennai: Indian Bank in Adyar robbed at gunpoint

According to reports, an attempt of bank robbery in Indian bank at Adyar’s Indira Nagar was foiled after traffic cops nabbed the accused. Reportedly, the man, Sunil Yadav robbed Rs 6 lakh by keeping the bank official at gunpoint.

 

The accused tried to flee the spot on his two-wheeler after the public screamed for help. After he fired the gun by mistake, traffic cops got on heels on hearing the gunshot.

 

The accused has been handed over to the Indira Nagar police station and police are checking the CCTV footages to investigate further on the case. The accused carried two guns which were confiscated by police.
