CHENNAI: BURGLARS BREAK INTO HOUSE, RUN AWAY WITH 25 SOVEREIGNS OF JEWELLERY

According to reports, unidentified persons broke into a locked house in Maduravoyal and escaped with 25 sovereigns of jewellery. Temple William, a hotel owner, from Maduravoyal locked his house and went on summer vacation with his family. The burglary came to light when his hotel manager Suresh came to the house. Noticing that the lock at the back door was broken, Suresh informed police.

Police rushed to the house after receiving information and conducted a thorough check. It was found that 25 sovereigns of gold along with a costly camera were stolen from the house. The burglars had also reportedly sprinkled chilly powder in the house to conceal the traces. House owner Temple William, who is on vacation, has been informed and what in total has been stolen will be known after his return.
