Popular Cartoonist G Bala has reportedly been arrested by Crime Branch wing for posting a ‘derogatory' cartoon on social media criticising the Tirunelveli district administration and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. According to reports, the cartoons had a burning body of a baby which is being watched by three persons without clothes who are identified as Nellai police commissioner, Nellai Collector, and Chief Minister. The cartoon was drawn in response to the recent tragedy, where four members of a family set themselves on fire outside the Tirunelveli Collectorate.
