144 law has been imposed in the district Sivaganga from 23rd October to 31st October. The ban has been imposed due to the upcoming Maruthu Pandiyar brothers' guru puja on 27th October and Devar guru puja on 30th October in Sivaganga. Reportedly, the district administration had also given certain rules and guidelines for the public to follow. Every year thousands of people from across Tamil Nadu will attend the event.
