Four members of a family were reportedly injured after the LPG cylinder exploded at their house in Maraimazhai Nagar, Kodungaiyur on Sunday. Police reports suggest that the gas from the cylinder has been leaking during the night and since there was no proper ventilation it eventually led to the blast when one of the family members switched on the light. The injured identified as Venkata Prakash (55), Geetha(45), Sharmila(25) and Kishore(22) were reportedly admitted to Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital.
