Anitha suicide: NCSC summons top officials for inquiry

In the Anitha suicide case, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes has reportedly issued summons to the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police, the Collector of Ariyalur and the Superintendent of Police, Ariyalur, to appear before the panel on December 12 in New Delhi. Medical aspirant Anitha from Ariyalur committed suicide by hanging herself as she couldn’t get an MBBS seat after she failed in the NEET medical test. NCSC vice-chairman L. Murugan reportedly said the Commission had summoned the four top officials for inquiry as an interim report by Ariyalur district police was not satisfactory.
