67 prisoners to be released to commemorate MGR\'s 100th anniversary

According to reports, the Tamil Nadu government on Monday officially announced that 67 prisoners will be released to commemorate AIADMK veteran MG Ramachandran's 100th birth anniversary.

 

The news was announced by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami in the TN Assembly. Reportedly, life convicts from all over the state who have completed a ten-year sentence as on February 25 will be released. They will be released prematurely to mark the landmark anniversary of MGR.
