About 15 kg meat was reportedly seized by the greater Chennai corporation on Thursday. To observe Mahavir Nirwan day, the government reportedly ordered meat shops to remain closed. Out of the 2,532 shops in the city, 2,527 were closed and five were reportedly selling meat.
