Earlier today, Virat Kohli said that he had been playing for 300 days a year which includes travelling and practice sessions. "I have been playing 300 days a year, which includes travelling and practice sessions. And intensity is right up there all the time. It does take a toll on you," said Kohli ahead of the first Test against New Zeland in Wellington.
His statements have opened up an important need for cricketers which can be called as "break" or "rest". Undoubtedly Indian cricket players should be given such privileges at least in regular intervals mainly considering the schedule of games throughout the year.
When looked upon the other side of Kohli's statements it is clear that players are indeed looking for such "break" despite their love for the game. "It's not that the players are not thinking about it all the time. We do choose to take lot more breaks individually even though the schedule might not allow you to. Especially for guys, who play all the formats," added Kohli.
