WATCH: THIRD UMPIRE STYLE COMMENTARY FOR PROPOSAL AT LORD’S

During the second ODI between India and England at the Lord’s on Saturday, there occurred a third umpire style proposal at the stands. While the two team were battling it out on the ground, the “Love is in the air” affair grabbed the attention of the crowd as the cameraman focussed on the event.

The video of the incident shows the man standing up to propose to the girl as the screen displayed ‘DECISION PENDING’ imitating the third umpire review. The next moment, the screen changed to ‘She said YES’ as the girl accepted the proposal. While the couple hugged, India spinner Chahal was seen appreciating the moment from the field.

England had scored a daunting 322 runs after losing seven wickets. However, Virat Kohli’s men lost the match by 86 runs as the side’s batting order collapsed for 236 runs. For England, Joe Root had scored a century, while Eoin Morgan and David Willey contributed a half-century each.
