S Sreesanth whose life ban in cricket was reduced to seven years by the Supreme Court of India, has gone candid about his passion for cricket, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and his relationship with Harbhajan Singh in an exclusive interview to Behindwoods.

Sreesanth opens up about CSK Dhoni issue with Harbhajan Singh Tamilian

"Everybody in my family was into Arts. But for me, cricket happened," the 36-year-old began narrating his journey into cricket with a smile. The atmosphere during 2007 World Cup was beautiful with a young team and MS Dhoni taking over as captain, we were not afraid to lose. In 2011, we wanted a win for Sachin Tendulkar and that motivated us.

It is to be noted that both in 2007 and 2011 World Cups, Sreesanth bowled the first ball for India.

"I've been blessed to have a supporting family and friends during tough times. I've improved my batting phenomenally. Hopefully, I will be able to exhibit what I have in the 2023 World Cup."

Speaking of his relationship with Harbhajan Singh, Sreesanth said, “He is good brother. We have nothing against each other.” Singh’s nature has changed for good after he began playing for CSK. Going by the popular phrase "Vanthaarai Vaazha Vaikum Tamil Nadu," Tamilians have given immense support to MS Dhoni in connection with CSK.
