SRH GET 175 IN CHENNAI !!! DO CSK NEED ANOTHER DHONI SPECIAL ???

After winning the toss, MS Dhoni elected to field first.

The pitch was much better to bat on that expected. Harbhajan Singh who was back for this match provided the breakthrough early on getting Bairstow for 0. Manish Pandey who came back for this match at Number 3 due to the absence of Kane Williamson started to strike the ball very well from ball one. Warner also got going as both the batsman combined for a 115 runs partnership.

Warner got out to Harbjahan Singh for a well made 57 from 45 as he looked completely exhausted towards the end of the innings. But Pandey continued to score freely as Vijay Shankar joined him for a 47 runs partnership.

SRH were not able to get the big finish they were hoping for despite having wickets in hand as the CSK bowlers came back very well in the death overs. Manish Pandey finished with an unbeaten 83 from 49 balls as SRH ended up with 175/3 in 20 overs.

This is not the usual Chennai Pitch and looks to be playing a lot better in this game. SRH after getting a great start failed to get the perfect finishing kick. What could have been a massive target is now something that is gettable for CSK but will be a tough run chase. The CSK top order has been out of form and will need to step up today if they have to chase this score. They might also need another Dhoni Special at the end if the top order doesn't go well.
