In the game at Chennai against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Manish Pandey came back in to the team in the absense of Kane Williamson at number three and looked in great touch straight away.

He was striking the ball hard from ball one and while doing so, he hit one ball straight past Deepak Chahar for four. This ball was hit really hard and Deepak Chahar just about managed to get out of the way and save himself.

These days we see batsman hitting the ball really hard with big bats, hence we have seen a number of umpires starting to wear helmets. But the bowlers, particularly the pace bowlers are on the follow through are in real danger with the ball coming back at that pace. They have to be carefully and have quick reflexes to be safe.
