INDIA'S PLAYING ELEVEN FOR FIRST T20I AGAINST WEST INDIES?

After the World Cup downfall, the Indian Team is all set to rival against formidable West Indies. The bilateral series will have three T20I’s and ODI’s each, starting August 3.  The squads for the same were announced on July 21. Several young faces including Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari and Khaleel Ahmed have been inducted.

Hindustan Times has predicted India’s playing eleven for the first T20I clash in Florida. The list reads: Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, Krunal Pandya, Bhuveshwar Kumar, RahulChahar, Deepak Chahar and Khaleel Ahmed.

Shikar Dhawan who left the World Cup campaign midway due to injury is back and will pair up with Rohit Sharma for opening. Holding a phenomenal T20 record, KL Rahul is expected to enter number 3. Following Virat Kohli at number 4, Sun Risers Batting star Manish Pandey is likely to give a grip to the Middle Order.

Rishabh Pant will be the primary Wicket-Keeper in the absence of MS Dhoni. He also shoulders the responsibility of playing the finisher.

Likewise, Krunal Pandya who was impressive in Australia and New Zealand, might get an opportunity to seal his All-rounder spot in the absence of Hardik Pandya.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the key bowling face as Jasprit Bumrah has been rested. Chahar brothers along with Khaleel Ahmed have been roped in concerning their first-rate performances in IPL and India ‘A’. The next couple of weeks is an excellent opportunity for these aspiring bowlers to show what they are capable of.
