Though India struggled a bit at the beginning of the first test at Sir Viv Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, Jasprirt Bumrah and Ajinkya Rahane put together a stellar performance to give India a big 318-run victory on August 25 (Sunday). The massive victory has led Indian Captain Virat Kohli to a new benchmark by crossing former captain Ganguly's Test record.

After India set a whopping target of 419 for West Indies, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah shattered the Windies batting lineup completely. Bumrah got his dream spell by picking 5 wickets conceding just 7 runs while Ishant Sharma bagged 3 for 31 runs.

In fact, Virat has justified his pet name 'King' Kohli with the most number of overseas wins as an Indian Captain. Kohli now has 12 overseas wins defeating Ganguly's 11 victories. Dhoni had led India to 6 overseas wins in Tests as India Captain.

On the other side, Kohli equalled Dhoni's record in terms of most number of Test wins for India. Kohli and Dhoni now share 27 wins as Test Captains for India. If Kohli wins the second test which begins on August 30 in Kingston, Jamaica, he will be the first-ever Indian captain to win the most number of Test matches for India.
