With Ravichandran Ashwin not included in playing XI in the ongoing West Indies series, the fans looked clearly disappointed. Despite his outstanding numbers against the Carribeans, his exclusion has made the fans puzzled. However, it looks like the Chennai boy found his own way of getting in touch with the fans though not playing in the match.

R Ashwin missed the playing XI, fans sad-IndvsWI test

Ashwin took a casual selfie and posted on his twitter space. He captioned the picture, "Early mornings with the #ashes backdrop". Though he looks happy posing with the Ashes backdrop, fans expressed sadness and disappointment as he was not included in the playing X1 in the first test against West Indies.

Ashwin has played 65 Test matches so far and took 342 wickets at an average of 25.43 and scored 2361 runs at an average of 29.14. Apparently, R Ashwin is the fastest bowler in the world to pick 250 and 300 Test wickets.

One of the fans appreciated Ashwin for his liking for cricket and his performance as a cricketer in different Tournaments. “You are a nice bloke who enjoys cricket. Be it TNPL or IPL or for national team. You always give your best to win the game for your team ash!!," (sic) the fan tweeted.

Out of the last 13 tests India played, Ashwin missed 6 matches. He was left out in the third Test against South Africa and injury made him unfit to play in the last Test in England including the last three of the four-match series against Australia.
