RS. 2000 CHALLAN CAN BE REDUCED TO RS.100; POLICE GIVES TIPS TO AVOID HUGE FINE: WATCH VIDEO 

Ever since the new Motor Vehicles Act 2019 has been introduced common man has been affected the most in paying huge amount of fine. 

From paying Rs.5000 to Rs. 2 lakh fine has shocked daily commuters who drive or ride on road. But to overcome all these problems, a police himself gives tips on how to lower hefty traffic challan. 

This cop's video has gone viral online as people on social media are happy to know the tips and glad to follow it soon. Many on Facebook thanked the cop for raising awareness about traffic fines and rules under the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019.

The police has been identified as Sunil Sandhu, who explains that under certain circumstances, it is possible to pay just Rs.100 for a Rs.2,000 traffic challan issued under Motor Vehicles Act 2019.

In the video, Sandhu explains that the new rule for driving without a license or registration certificate is Rs. 5,000. Also, driving without a pollution certificate can attract a fine of Rs.10,000, while missing insurance documentation can cost drivers Rs.2,000. So, if a driver who has simply forgotten to carry their documents with them, can reduce these fines to Rs. 100.

The police further explains that violators, who have been fined have 15 days to pay their traffic police challans. So in these 15 days, they can approach higher authorities with proper documentation and pay Rs. 100 as fine, instead of the whooping amount.

He also clarified saying that, this provision does not apply to cases like driving without a helmet or drunk driving.
