VENKAIAH NAIDU REJECTS OPPOSITION’S IMPEACHMENT MOTION AGAINST CJI

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Monday reportedly rejected the impeachment motion filed against the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra by the opposition parties. The Rajya Sabha Chairman rejected the motion after holding consultations with constitutional and legal experts including Attorney General K K Venugopal. Earlier a notice for the impeachment of the CJI, signed by MPs from seven political parties, was submitted to the Vice President.
