Haryana Minister Anil Vij stoked a controversy earlier today when he commented, "Rahul Gandhi is similar to Nipah virus, whichever party he comes in contact with, that party will be finished. They (parties) are trying to come together (in alliance) but they will be finished off."
Vij has come in for his share of criticism for making light of the virus, which has so far claimed 14 lives in Kerala.
