COUPLE FORCED TO CONSUME URINE AFTER MARRYING AGAINST PARENTS' WISHES

A couple from Madhya Pradesh was made to consume urine after marrying against their parents' wishes. The couple was reportedly stripped, tied and beaten by the family members.

One of the accused even took a video of the shocking incident. From the man could be seen tied to a pole, while the woman was crouching next to him in a semi-naked state. One of the accused was even heard saying that the punishment was a form of revenge for "hurting the family's pride."

The couple has been living in the same village and got married in May against their parents' wishes. The man had sent the woman's family Rs 70,000 and a goat to smooth things out between them. However, after a decision from the caste panchayat, the couple was attacked on Saturday.

According to the complaint lodged by the woman at the police station, they were kidnapped at gunpoint. The woman was partially stripped and had her hair chopped off. They were also mercilessly beaten up by the goons.
