Man who questioned Minister got arrested

North Goa’s BJP Minister Viswajit Rane participated in a campaign canvas for vote. Along with the minister, party members too participated in it and conversed with the public. During the canvasing, a fellow public, a man named Darshan Gaonkar questioned the party members.

One of the question was regarding employment. As soon as the campaign was over, the man was arrested by Goa police. Gaonkar was arrested by Valpoi Police on Thursday night under preventive sections of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC ) before being released on a bond.

“I only asked him why I was overlooked for a job despite being promised one for years now. I was only asking a question at the meeting and I was arrested after the meeting ended,” Gaonkar said while speaking to reporters on Friday according to Hindustan Times.
