A National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe has reportedly found that Shafin Jahan, the husband of Hadiya was allegedly in touch with two individuals who were accused in a case involving the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ) through a Facebook group, a few months before his marriage to Hadiya. The NIA also suggests that it was one of those accused who had brought Shafin and Hadiya together, contrary to the popular belief that the two had met through a matrimonial website. The Supreme Court is currently hearing Shafin Jahan’s appeal against the annulment of his marriage to Hadiya.
