CRIMINAL CUTS CAKE IN JAIL; CELEBRATES BDAY WITH FELLOW INMATES

Pictures of inmates having a good time in prisons are ceasing to be a surprise considering the many such instances that we seem to see day by day.

Recently, a controversy has erupted after a photograph from the Jodhpur Central Jail has come to the public notice in which a hard-core criminal, Rakesh Manju, can be seen cutting a cake on his birthday inside the prison premises. The picture has presumably gone viral on social media, raising various questions of jail violations.

Apart from Manju, other criminals are also seen participating in the birthday celebrations including the accused in the Bhanwari Devi murder case, Paras Ram Bishnoi and Kailash Jakhar. Jail authorities admitted that they had permitted sweets to be brought inside the jail for Manju’s birthday, according to rules set by the jail manual.
