Hindu organisations threaten theatres of violence on release of this popular film

Hindu activists in Agra have reportedly threatened theatres of violence if the controversial film ‘Padmavati’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is released. They have opposed the film, which releases on December 1, alleging that the film contains scenes mocking Chittoor queen Padmini. Shri Rajput Karni Sena had alleged that the film, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, has a romantic scene canned between Rani Padmini (Deepika) and Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer). Earlier, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali the presence of any such scenes in the film.
