Country's major entrance exams to be conducted by NTA

The Union Cabinet reportedly approved an independent body ‘National Testing Agency' (NTA) to conduct entrance exams for higher education institutions on Friday. Reports say NTA would conduct exams that are organised by CBSE including National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) and NET (National Entrance Test). Notably, 70 lakh students are currently taking up nine-types of exams including CTET, UGC, NET, JEE Mains, NEET and JNV conducted by CBSE.
