Counting has begun for the Gujarat Assembly election 2017. The result is expected to be out by the afternoon.
After the high pitch Gujarat election campaign by BJP and Congress, the counting of votes began at 8:00 am on Monday. While BJP took an early lead, Congress which lagged in the beginning eventually caught up and is being a challenge to the ruling party. If Congress manages to win in the election, it will be a first for them in 20 years.
