Vodafone and Airtel shares rise post Jio’s 6 Paise charge

Within 24 hours after Jio's announcement, the shares of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea went high. On Thursday (October 10), the share market registered Vodafone Idea's rise in share to 18% while Bharti Airtel rose to 4%.

The numbers gained further in the last three sessions while Vodafone Idea increased by 30% and Bharti Airtel rose up to 10%. As per LiveMint, the trade analysts pointed out Jio's tariff announcement to be the main reason for the share benefits of the other two networks.
