OWNER DUMPS BRAND NEW ROYAL ENFIELD BIKE WORTH RS. 2.4 LAKH IN GARBAGE; HERE'S WHY

Looks like there is trouble brewing for Royal Enfield.

According a report, an owner of the Royal Enfield Pegasus 500 has thrown his bike, worth Rs. 2.4 lakh in the garbage. The owner is unhappy with the launch of the Classic 350 ABS Signals, that was launched to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces.

However, only a couple of weeks back, Royal Enfield had launched the Pegasus 500 Limited Edition to pay homage to the British Army and the two-wheeler brand's involvement in World War II. The Pegasus 500, limited to only 250 units, was priced at Rs 2.4 lakh, almost Rs. 80,000 more than the Classic Signals.

A couple of owners wrote an open letter to Royal Enfield, expressing their anger . They felt cheated when the brand launched Signals, similar to that of Pegasus, at a very low price.

“Feeling really cheated. Why you guys didn’t gave ABS just month before launched Pegasus. Really cheated. Also similar design," said an owner

Responding to this, Royal Enfield has released a statement. “We understand why you might feel that way, but we want to ensure we would not do anything to undervalue your prized possession," they said

The owner decided to offer his bike for garbage collection as he was not happy with the response
