An unusual melody based track that carries forward some dark shades. Sung by composer Ajaneesh himself, this track Sollathan Nenaikirane has a slowish folk beat with the use of instruments like flute and strings to perfection. Lyrics by Velmurugan are simple but suit the music. There is also a use of acoustic and bass guitars that add the proceedings and the tune is very different right from the start to the end. The chorus portions are also nice and it is a nice melody based slow folk number.

Thaayai Thedi
Singer: Vijay Yesudas

A very pleasant sounding melody delivered by Vijay Yesudas in the form of Thaayai Thedi.  The sound mix is outstanding for this melody and there is a beautiful tune composed for this number that has use of instruments like strings and bass guitars. The keyboard programming is top notch and carries forward the emotion that the song conveys. The latter half has the use of an instrument that sounds like a Shehnai and the tune picks up pace at a different level. The song’s theme is the search for ones mother as the name suggests and is very impressive from composer Ajaneesh Loknath.

Richie (Theme Music)

Another innovative theme that has a lot of rock based tunes and dominated by guitars. This BGM could very well be the backbone of some mass scenes in Richie and the music is on the lines of the Clint Eastwood film’s cowboy music. Bass and acoustic guitars flow in and attract the listener at the very first listen. A brilliantly blended theme music which has the use of a distorted electric guitar, backed up well by some amazing loops used by Ajaneesh. A clear winner this Richie theme.

Final Showdown  

The final showdown is the equivalent music of Ulidavaru Kandante’s final showdown music and has been kept haunting with its eerie tune that attracts the listener. Just like the Kannada compliment, this Richie Final showdown that is dominated by instruments used by two groups - Udupi Puliyattam and Arcot Thappattai has some really native tunes. It is a high intense and engrossing theme music which is a must listen.
